English Lenguaje Challenges

Hello everyone, again! how about the end of the semester? I hope I'm being really good for you <3

Today I will talk to you about the challenges I have faced learning English during my time at the university.

At the beginning of the degree, I had to take an English test, which measured the skills I had for the language and according to the results they assigned the level of English that I should take or if I was exempted from English (as you can see, I did not exempt myself hahaha). Last year I started in English Pre-Intermediate A, that level of English was very similar to the one I learned in school, only it made me develop my skills better since they allowed to apply them. Then, in the English Beginner A course, they made me use blogs, as in this level of English, the truth is that I really like the idea, I feel that, in this modality (online), it helps a lot to know what our colleagues want to do, their interests, favorite places or what they want to do in the future.

As for what I would improve in English would be oral communication, since I understand written English, but I need to practice speaking it, although it costs me a lot since I am very insecure, and I am ashamed to participate in classes: ((. I really hope to improve it at some point because I know that it is a fundamental tool to function better, either academically or socially.

Outside of academics, using English occasionally when I read books or watch movies in English, I feel like they are so much better and real in the original language.

  A country that I would love to visit One of the countries that I would very much like to visit is France, specifically Toulouse because a friend lives there and apart from the fact that I would like to visit her, from the photos she sends me you can see a very beautiful city. What I know of that city is that a river called Garona crosses it and it receives the nickname of “Pink City” since it is the color that predominates in old buildings. There I would like to go to the Capitol Square since in the Capitol building there are beautiful sculptures by French artists, I would also like to go to the Basilica of San Sernín because it is a monument declared a World Heritage Site and is one of the largest in France. I would like to live there for a while because I want to know the charms of France and also because I would like to improve my quality of life and mental health.

The Best Holdays Ever

  The truth is that it is difficult for me to say what the best vacations I have ever had, since every summer we spend it as a family in our summer house on the beach of Pichidangui. However, I think the best vacations were in the summer of 2019 during January and February, that year we decided to tour the south of Chile for three weeks. We went to Los Saltos del Petrohué in Puerto Varas, we also went to Chiloé and toured a large part of the island, another place we went to was Lake Caburgua. In Caburgua we rode jet skis, we visited the tourist places, we also went to the Pucón casino and we had a lot of fun! These vacations were the best since we visited our relatives in Caburgua and in that place we had a great time because we had not shared with them for a long time. I think that a moment that I will always remember from those vacations was when we met again with our relatives, it was really emotional.

My Future Job

Hello everyone again! This time I will talk about the job that I would like to have in the future, being in my second year of my degree in Psychology at the University of Chile. The truth is, it is difficult to be completely clear about the area in which I would like to develop my career, I suppose the fact that I have never had face-to-face classes at the university has a lot to do with it. Despite this, I am very interested in the area of ​​child psychology and I think I will specialize in something related to it, because I feel that childhood is a fundamental stage for the development of the human being, and at the same time, they are the basis for there are real changes in people's mental health in the future. The truth is that I would like the patient to decide that the therapy could be carried out both outdoors and indoors. I would also very much like to travel to give therapy in different parts of the world, and to know the different contexts in which patients are immersed.
